In Xishuangbanna, in the south-west corner of Yunnan, each different tea making region, tea mountain, tea village, has it's own ethnic minorities, traditions, culture and tea making practices.

Here are photos of Aini people in Nan Nuo Shan celebrating New Year. This was held behind Yang Xiang Zhai. It was a much smaller event than the Spring Tea Festival which attracts bigger crowds - both locals and outsiders. Song and dance form an intrinsic part of Aini daily life.
